Day 5 Adventure Cruise Holiday Club

Day 5 Adventure Cruise Holiday Club

Have you heard of the 4 to 14 Window?
The 4 to 14 window is a term used to describe the age when people are most likely to come to faith in Jesus Christ.

In 2015, the National Association of Evangelicals polled their membership to learn at what age members made this most important decision of their lives, and found that 63% chose to follow Jesus between the ages of 4 and 14. Supporting this finding, other, older studies also have strong data showing that after the age of 18 years old, the number of faith decisions made drop drastically.

This information reminds us again of the importance of children’s ministry!

Final day of the Adventure Cruise Holiday Club and it’s prize-giving!

Adventure Cruise Holiday Club is a 5-day fun event for children aged 4–11 years (school years Reception to Year 6) run by volunteers from Swanfield Chapel, Chichester. We start at 10.00am and finish at 12noon.
Two hours of fun, games, Bible stories, competitions, DVD’s, songs and much more!
We’ll be cruising the five ‘C’s, meeting people along the way who have had a life-changing encounter with Jesus. First of all there is the ‘C’ of Choice, then Courage, Call, Change and Commitment.
Step aboard as we sail away on The Adventure Cruise!

Day 4 Adventure Cruise Holiday Club

95% of under-18s in England and Wales don’t go to church. That’s over 12 million children and young people who still need to hear the life-changing good news of Jesus! Great to work alongside Swanfield Chapel as they make connections and journey alongside local children and young people from ‘the 95’.

Today @ Speakers Corner.

Freeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezing today at Speakers Corner, Hydse Park, London, but it kept dry and after a few flat weeks, the buzz was back in the park! Lots of little conversations and a few out and out arguments. The best of the day was with Abdullah, Mike had spoken to him last week and he asked for a Bible, this week he came to collect it. Please pray that he will read it!

Speakers Corner in London’s Hyde Park is the oldest free speech platform in the world. People won the right to speak in mass protests in the 1860s and early 1870s. Some people believe the tradition is connected to the right of the condemned to a last speech before being hung at the Tyburn gallows, a practice that stopped at the end of the 18th century. Every Sunday people from all sorts of convictions come to Hyde Park in the afternoon to spread their message or to have fun.

Preaching today…

Activity: Morning Service
Venue: Appleyards Bible Church. Horsham RH13 5BU
Time: 11.15am
Subject: ‘Defeat, Confession & Victory!’
Speaker: Gordon Curley
Bible Passage: Joshua chapters 7&8

Chris Sinkinson @ ‘The Net’

“In archaeology, context is everything. Objects allow us to reconstruct the past. Taking artifacts from a temple or an ancient private house is like emptying out a time capsule.” – Sarah Parcak
A cracking night at ‘The Net’ (monthly outreach event for MEN).
Chris Sinkinson gave an engaging talk on talk on the Bible and archaeology. One man who has only recently started coming along, commented, “The best one so far!”
Thanks to Chris for fitting us into his busy schedule! If you want a taster of what we enjoyed, catch him on YouTube: https://youtu.be/lsQeZssBNbo?si=urmXzCK5FMuLZzll
