Happy Christmas from the Curley’s!
Happy Christmas from the Curley’s!
We are joining with our European and Latin American friends in exchanging presents (and enjoying the Christmas dinner) tonight on Christmas Eve.
Penny’s wrist has not healed and she is expecting to be in hospital tomorrow for an operation. Wires and plate because it’s all slipped, hence the pain!
Wishing everyone a peaceful Christmas and a happy New Year
Happy Christmas” is what I chose to say
But other greetings are used for the day
By one and all during the festive season
And foreign languages are the reason
There’s “Frolyke Kerst feest” or “Jou Noel”
“Felleeth Navidad” even “Glaydlig Yool”
“Kalla Kristoogenna”, “Booon Natarlee”
“Boas Festas” or “Sheng Dan Kwhy Lee”
You could say “Frelicker Vineakten”
Or maybe “Roshdesrom Kristovim” then
So you can say it in very many ways
But please never say “Happy Holidays!”

Today @ Speakers Corner.
It was grey, cold & windy at the Corner today, and compared to previous weeks it seemed a little flat. Disappointing not to have had a ‘meaningful’ conversation, a few rowdy ones and an interesting chat with a Jewish man called Nathan, Jewish by birth but not by theology. At first, he didn’t want to speak to ‘Christians or Moslems’ but then he chatted to Chris & myself for 45+ minutes about his understanding of God. I think this was a first base conversation that will be continued next time we meet.
As always, thanks for your prayers!
