The Net: Snooker Evening
A Snooker Evening was the latest activity in reaching men for Christ!
The venue was The Village Snooker Club, Stubbington, the evening reminded us all how out of practice we are at snooker! The conversation was good and although numbers attending were low, it proved to be a good evening.
At the end of the evening our guest speaker Ivor Cooper spoke on the Bible verse 2 Corinthians chapter 8 verse 9:
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.”
Please pray that even now his words would impact those who were there.
The GLO Team Day 6
Superb week with the GLO Team – literature distribution, School assemblies and lessons, Church activities and we still have ‘BodyBuilders’ Youth Event tonight and the All-Age Service tomorrow!
One teacher wrote:
“Thanks for bringing your students to us. The kids absolutely loved it. And the staff were really interested too. 85 kids having 2 hours of testimony and gospel teaching! Bring it on! Please pass on my thanks to them too.”
The GLO Team – Day 3
Meoncross is the only independent senior school in the Borough of Fareham. It is was a pleasure to be invited in with the GLO Team to take an assembly. Following the assembly it was good to spend some time with the older classes of the school, this took the form of a Question & Answer session. The GLO Team were able to talk about the countries they were born or grew up in, their cultures and their faith!
On Friday we return to Meoncross School for a similar programme, this time with the Senior pupils.
The team then went on to Lunch’n’Meet, a lunchtime get together for older people. A chance for people to enjoy the company of old and new friends, followed by a hot meal and the GLO Team sharing a thought for the day.
