‘FirstServe’ Update
FirstServer Anna Wilson has now returned home from Zambia, after having an incredible time overseas she is now venturing home to California. Pray that God will continue to do incredible things in her life and that the 3 months in Zambia will have a lasting impact!
Please continue to pray for Abi, Hazel and Josh. Abi has been helping out on a short-term mission team in San Pablo over the Easter period and Hazel will be travelling to Livingstone at the end of this week to see the amazing Victoria Falls! Josh has a few days left on his UK church placement, so prayers would be appreciated for his remaining time there.
FirstServe is a unique discipleship and missions programme, primarily for 18-25 year-olds on a gap year, or those with a shorter time available.
Gordon is part of the FistServe Steering Group.
‘Polar Explorers’ Holiday Club
Just received a phone call from a very enthusiastic mum saying; “Thank you for this morning’s Holiday Club, the children absolutely loved it and haven’t stopped talking about it since they got home!”
Each day this week children from school year R to year 5 will be enjoying two hours of fun and excitement. A mixture of quizzes, crafts, DVD’s, Bible stories, activities, games, competitions and a lot more!
Don’t be surprised if you see a penguin, a polar bear or even a husky in the Park Gate area this Easter Holidays! ‘Polar Explorers’ is the fun theme and name of the Holiday Club we are running all week (6th-10th April) at Duncan Road Church, Park Gate.
With the help of Sir Random Finds and Bare Feet, the children are explorers who go on a mini-expedition each day and learn about a New Testament character. Through the lives of these people, they learn that no one is too anything to be part of God’s big expedition, that is, to be a friend of Jesus and go out and help other people be friends of Jesus too.
Quotes from Facebook:
