FiestServe Update
We have now welcomed Luke onto the programme who has travelled all the way from North Carolina! He will be spending the next few weeks at Tilsley Bible College before moving on to his church placement at Greenview Evangelical Church. Please pray for him as he faces this new chapter in the UK and for all the preparations to be put in place for his overseas placement in Niger.
The amazing Emily (photo 1) & Kirsty (photo 2) are now settling back into life in the UK after their FirstServe adventures, please continue to pray for them as they move onto the next chapter of their lives.
FirstServe is a unique discipleship and missions programme, primarily for 18-25 year-olds on a gap year, or those with a shorter time available.
Gordon is part of the FistServe Steering Group.
Arlo Update!
Arlo was taken to The Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth on Sunday evening (September 18th) with a suspected appendicitis! His appendix had burst and he had an operation to remove his appendix early Monday morning (September 19th).
Arlo returned home Monday evening (26th September). Last night (27th September ) Penny had to take Arlo back to the hospital as his wound was oozing out lots of liquid goo! He returned home a few hours later and is resting up.
He will not be at school for another week and he will not be allowed to do any contact sports for 6 weeks!
He is getting better, looking better and feeling better each day!
School Assembly
It was good today to take my first school assembly of the new term at Park Gate Primary School. Southampton.
It was also encouraging to be invited into the school to share ‘What Christians believe about baptism’ with two year groups. I am back again next week to share on the topic, ‘What Christians believe about harvest’.
Arlo Update
Life has ben a bit on hold this week, some events have had to be cancelled or rearranged.
My son Arlo (aged 13) was taken to The Queen Alexandra Hospital, Portsmouth on Sunday evening (September 18th) with a suspected appendicitis!
His appendix had burst and he had an operation to remove his appendix early Monday morning (September 19th).

Thank you for your thoughts and prayers and messages of support. Arlo will be returning home tonight (26th September), he will need the rest of the week off school and he will not be allowed to do any contact sports for 6 weeks!

Always good to be reminded of the basics of what we are about!
Matthew 9:35-38 (NIV):
“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.”
