Baptism of Jay

Great to hear that Good News Camp had helped Jay come to faith and thrilled to see her getting baptised!

Today at Speakers corner

It was good to be joined by a few friends in the park today, Joe Kirby (YouTube: ‘Off The Kirb’ Ministries), Pete Barker and a few others from last week’s F.E.W. conference!

Wet and miserable is an understatement, the park was deserted, the Cafés were all closed, and speakers’ corner was the emptiest I have ever seen it!

We all gathered by Speakers Corner Café where we found limited shelter from the elements. The weather may disappoint but Speakers Corner always comes up trumps.
lots of conversations, best of the day was two Armenian visitors (Father and Teenage daughter), lots of genuine searching questions and both took gospels.

Joe, Johnny & Rob in action.

Speakers Corner in London’s Hyde Park is the oldest free speech platform in the world. People won the right to speak in mass protests in the 1860s and early 1870s. Some people believe the tradition is connected to the right of the condemned to a last speech before being hung at the Tyburn gallows, a practice that stopped at the end of the 18th century. Every Sunday people from all sorts of convictions come to Hyde Park in the afternoon to spread their message or to have fun.

The Fellowship of Evangelical Workers Conference

The Fellowship of Evangelical Workers Conference

A few days to ‘take in’ at The Fellowship of Evangelical Workers Conference 2025 (20th to 22nd) at Yarnfield Park Conference Centre, Staffordshire.

There will be three sessions of Bible Ministry from Martin Durham (K180) and other talks and seminars. Speakers include Amy Smith (Faith in Kids), Jeremy Thomas (historical lecture), Michael Ots (AofE & FEUER), Tony Brown (AofE & Reachout Trust), Pete Hodge (Open Air Campaigners). There should be plenty of food for thought and maybe even time to catch up with some friends who I haven’t seen since the previous conference!
