Speakers Corner in London’s Hyde Park is the oldest free speech platform in the world. People won the right to speak in mass protests in the 1860s and early 1870s. Some people believe the tradition is connected to the right of the condemned to a last speech before being hung at the Tyburn gallows, a practice that stopped at the end of the 18th century. Every Sunday people from all sorts of convictions come to Hyde Park in the afternoon to spead their message or to have fun.

With Penny to enjoy a chance to take in, looking forward to a few days away (January 23-25) at The Fellowship of Evangelical Workers Conference 2023

Speakers include Lindsay Brown, David Earnshaw, Dr Ruth Eardley, Dr David Dean, Roger Carswell, should be plenty of food for thought and maybe even time to catch up with some friends who I haven’t seen since he previous conference!

Another good night at ‘Body Builders’ inter-Church youth event – I was so involved in the icebreakers that I almost forgot to call time for my talk, thankfully parents were happy to wait in the foyer for an extra 10mins while I finished my talk on, “Heroes of the faith: Rahab” Hebrews chapter 11 verses 30-31.
