Wednesday – working alongside the Baptist Church in Orhei & Neculăieuca, approximately 40 kilometres north of the capital, Chișinău.

More pioneer work today, following up on contacts from a recent medical team who provided free health care and also requested a follow up visit to hear the gospel.

Sunday – day one: a slow start to the week as we only had two meetings today, but a good opportunity to get used to working with Simona one of our translators, who has been my helper all week.

Monday to Tuesday – a variety of house meetings (3 a day), a good response to the gospel!

I go to Moldova for the 3rd time on Saturday 9th Nov and will return (DV) on Tuesday 19th.

The programme of evangelistic events is very ‘full on’. In previous years the evangelists have each preached up to 30 times in 8 days! The opportunities are great and the responses previously have been exciting and, in many cases, enduring.

Please pray for the team from the UK (including Bob Telford (Counties Warwickshire) and Jason Collett from Myton Church Warwick. Pray for our health and safety and safe return. It is very easy to pick up a ‘bug’ out there. It would be great to come back in good health for once!
 
Pray that “the message will spread rapidly and be honoured” 
Pray for the translators and for the Pastor’s who will follow up on contacts made and with those who respond to the Gospel.

To paraphrase he words of Julius Caesar (“Veni, vidi, vici”) – “It came, They saw, It conquered,” a great 7 weeks with GSUS LIVE in Hampshire, yes, we had some logistic problems with Stobbart’s, yes, we had some location problems in a couple of the schools, yes, we had some technical problems with generators breaking down!
But over all thousands of young people have had a chance to listen to the teaching of Jesus and discover for themselves that he is relevant for their lives today!

Thanks to Andy Morgan (Chichester Baptist Church) and his crew (Youth Leaders from the other Churches in the local area) for looking after the unit at Bishop Luffa School. This week Paul Woodman (City Life Church. Southampton) and team will be hosting the unit at Oasis Academy Mayfield. Southampton.

GSUS LIVE is a Counties school resource and this 7 week tour is being organised by Gordon & Penny Curley (Counties Hampshire).

While GSUS LIVE is at Bishop Luffa with the big one’s – I shall be visiting the little one’s and speaking at three junior school assemblies, great to work alongside Swanfield Chapel, Chichester and enjoy the company of my Chauffeur  David Thurlow.

9.00am The March School,
“The theme is Friendship this term for worships, but please do feel free to do something different if you wish.”

10:15am Boxgrove School
“We are looking at People of Faith this half term, Joshua, Ruth and Samuel from the Old Testament and then various people whose faith has influenced their lives, (Martin Luther King, Harriet Tubman). Your visit falls in anti-slavery week.”

11:15am Chidham School
“The theme that week is “Peace”.”

Great to work with a talented bunch this week, which included Neil Maddock (E-Quip Arts – www.e-quiparts.org.uk) & Lorna Littlewood (The Church Of The Good Shepherd, Four Marks) Ben Bell (New Farm Chapel, Alresford). This week Andy Morgan (Chichester Baptist Church) and Youth Leaders from the other Churches in the local area will be looking after the unit at Bishop Luffa School, Chichester.

We finished our stint on GSUS LIVE with a Q&A session. Y10 GCSE group prepared these questions and machine gun fashion fired them at us
Neil Maddock and Myself did our best to answer as many as we could in the 50minute lesson.
