Who are the GLO Team?

The GLO Team (Gospel Literature Outreach) are students from, Tilsley CollegeTilsley College Motherwell, Scotland. They will be on a weeks placement with Gordon & Penny Curley at Duncan Road Church, Southampton to gain experience in local Church evangelism.

The Team: Gareth Armstrong, Catrina Stanfield, Tom Binding, Naomi Gibson, Matteo Garofano.

Rocky’s Plaice Holiday Club @ Duncan Road Church. Southampton. Uk

Rocky’s Plaice was a five-day children’s holiday club which ran from Monday 8th April to Friday 12th April 2019.

The club is based in a fish and chip restaurant that happens to be the meeting place of a church that loves helping children learn about Jesus!
When this cafe church was established, the building was renamed Rocky’s Plaice in honour of Jesus’ friend Peter!

The holiday club taught 5 stories from the book of the Bible called Acts. These stories celebrates how God established the first ever churches and the life of the church today.

The children enjoyed Quizzes, Crafts, DVD’s, Bible Stories, Activities, Games and lots more!

Lots of fun & laughter on the final day of Rocky’s Plaice Holiday Club.
Fun theme: a fish and chip restaurant that happens to be the meeting place of a church.
Bible theme: Stories from the book of Acts, that involve Peter (‘the rock’).
Venue: Swanfield Chapel. Chichester. UK

During the week the team of 7 evangelists shared the gospel with 623 F.R.A.N.K.S. (F.R.A.N.K.S stands for Friends Relatives And Next of Kin – local believers have been praying for these people for the last three months). 249 F.R.A.N.K.S. prayed prayers of commitment.

Met some great people, have some great memories, shared some great news about a great God!

Good News Camp is all over for another year!

Up until Wednesday evening Camp was brilliant, then as night time fell, many of us (about 30 campers and leaders out of 120) experienced the dreaded vomiting and diarrhoea.
We have no idea what caused the bug or how the bug spread but THANKS to my fantastic team of helpers and to the campers for adjusting to a rearranged final few days of camp. Sorry for those folk who like myself had to leave site early, hopefully this photos will remind us of some of the good times we enjoyed!
