Chris Sinkinson @ ‘The Net’
“In archaeology, context is everything. Objects allow us to reconstruct the past. Taking artifacts from a temple or an ancient private house is like emptying out a time capsule.” – Sarah Parcak
A cracking night at ‘The Net’ (monthly outreach event for MEN).
Chris Sinkinson gave an engaging talk on talk on the Bible and archaeology. One man who has only recently started coming along, commented, “The best one so far!”
Thanks to Chris for fitting us into his busy schedule! If you want a taster of what we enjoyed, catch him on YouTube: https://youtu.be/lsQeZssBNbo?si=urmXzCK5FMuLZzll

Today @ Speakers Corner
Another Sunday afternoon/evening at Speakers Corner. Hyde Park. London.
Question: Why do we turn up on a dull, cold, and wet afternoon?
Answer to meet nice people like the two in my first photo!
What a brilliant Q&A we (Mark a fellow evangelist and myself) enjoyed. The young lady is Jewish from Iran, now living in the USA and the young man is from Australia.
The rest of the time led to a few arguments and a couple of ‘light’ chats but when the rain came down, it was time to head home!

Evangelism at Speakers Corner. Hyde Park. London.
“Many can argue – not many converse.” Amos Bronson Alcott
Speakers Corner in London’s Hyde Park is the oldest free speech platform in the world. People won the right to speak in mass protests in the 1860s and early 1870s. Some people believe the tradition is connected to the right of the condemned to a last speech before being hung at the Tyburn gallows, a practice that stopped at the end of the 18th century. Every Sunday people from all sorts of convictions come to Hyde Park in the afternoon to spead their message or to have fun.
Another great night at ‘BodyBuyilders’ Youth Event (games, world focus, talk & tuck shop) & ‘BodyBuilders’ Extra (Pizza & Bible Study for the oldies).
They came, they played (with lots of noise and enthusiasm), and they listened so well! A real privilege to speak into their lives the things of Christ! Thanks to the BB team who support, get involved and make things happen! All-in-all a jolly good evening!
Encouraging news!
Always encouraging to receive emails like this one…
“Thrilled at six baptisms of young people at Waypoint this morning!
What was very evident in the testimonies was the part that Good News camps has played in their journeys!”
