Speakers Corner in London’s Hyde Park is the oldest free speech platform in the world. People won the right to speak in mass protests in the 1860s and early 1870s. Some people believe the tradition is connected to the right of the condemned to a last speech before being hung at the Tyburn gallows, a practice that stopped at the end of the 18th century. Every Sunday people from all sorts of convictions come to Hyde Park in the afternoon to spread their message or to have fun.

Today @ Speakers Corner.
Speakers Corner, Hyde Park. London.
Wet, wet, wet all the way to London and then the sun came out for a couple of hours before the rain returned and wet, wet, wet all the way home!
Great to bump into Jamie Broadey who was at the Corner for an hour.
Best conversation of the day was my first one, as I arrived in the Park, I saw Gabriel (Ex-Moslem form Ethiopia) surrounded by about 8 men and decided to give him some support, soon the group evaporated, and we were left to have a useful chat with a Moslem man from Dubai called Sultan. He took a John’s gospel, please pray that he will read it!
