Speakers Corner in London’s Hyde Park is the oldest free speech platform in the world. People won the right to speak in mass protests in the 1860s and early 1870s. Some people believe the tradition is connected to the right of the condemned to a last speech before being hung at the Tyburn gallows, a practice that stopped at the end of the 18th century. Every Sunday people from all sorts of convictions come to Hyde Park in the afternoon to spead their message or to have fun.

A good opportunity to share something of the gospel, a short talk on 1 John chapter 4 verse 14.

Please pray that those unsaved who heard the message, that God will continue to help them think it through.

The Fellowship of Evangelical Workers Conference

A few days to ‘take in’ at The Fellowship of Evangelical Workers Conference 2023 (22nd to 24th) at Yarnfield Park Conference Centre, Staffordshire.

Speakers include Rico Tice who will bring three sessions of Bible Teaching with other speakers to be confirmed, should be plenty of food for thought and maybe even time to catch up with some friends who I haven’t seen since the previous conference!
